June Griffin of Dayton, Tennessee,  has announced that she is running for Governor of Tennessee as an Independent candidate.

Letter to the Editor
Chattanooga Times/Free Press

Dear Sir:

This will be an open letter to the ACLU and other legal busybodies. The
paper reported that a certain County has been given ‘clearance’ to teach
some watered-down Bible studies.  And of course, we had to hear from MS
Hedy Weinberg, the Head of the ACLU, to see what she had to say about it.
I suppose all the papers have her phone number.

I want to know who gave you the authority to do anything about what we do
in our respective Counties, or States for that matter. Who elected you to
be the authority over our customs or heritage? We have a Tenth Amendment
to the Bill of Rights upon which our elected officials take solemn oath
before the God of our Fathers. Neither the State or Federal Constitutions
grant lawyers of any stripe ordination as dictators over our practices.
Case law cannot supercede Constitutional Law. Despite your despotic reign
of tyranny and terror which you have exercised in the last 40 years, our
God still is the Author of our Liberties (see the last verse of “My
Country, ‘Tis of Thee”).The day is coming when you will have to sing that
tune, preferably before my Staff, should I get elected as Governor of
Tennessee. Should this not be in the councils of Almighty God, you can
sing it before the Judgement Seat in eternity. “Vengeance is mine, thus
saith the Lord. I will repay.”

She made the following statement:

“Some have asked why I want to be Governor. First of all, I love Tennessee history and its record of Volunteerism, not the kind commonly known who spend their time in running after tax-exempt charities or other functions, but those who, joined to the cause of liberty, put themselves forth at great jeopardy to maintain that liberty, often with loss of life, limb or property.

“This great name of Volunteer, from the Battle of New Orleans to the Alamo to the contemporary wars waged for our national liberties, still has its mate and I have seen many who have been put down for this Volunteer spirit, yet they continue to stand firm on the principles which made our State great.

“I believe I would be a good Governor because I love the people of Tennessee. I have proven this love by my voluntary service of addressing 91 County Commissions on their Right to post the Ten Commandments, 85 of the total 95 who concurred in this Resolution. This was done with our money and private contributions and the six-year circuit throughout Tennessee is proof enough that I will follow the requirements for Governor – an ability to unify the people.

“I believe I would be a good Governor because I love our Constitution and is Declaration of Rights. These Rights can never be abrogated and include liberties which are the envy of the nations of the world.

“I believe I would be a good Governor because I have defended the foundations of God and the Bible in oral arguments before the Tennessee Court of Appeals in 1994 in a landmark case where our good laws against the

‘heinous, abominable crime of Sodomy’ was challenged.

“We need a Governor who will stand firm against Federal intrusions and mandates which rob us of our Rights, and will resist the tyranny which is currently occupying the high places in Washington.  I would encourage the Sheriffs to govern their Counties according to our Constitution and I would honor those who have been intimidated or oppressed by media hype or other unAmerican means. I would stand before the intimidating Council of State Governments in Lexington, Kentucky, and declare the greatness of Tennessee and make us first to return our State to our God-given liberties and guarantee of freedom to pursue our occupations without tyrannical hindrance, whether from so-called ‘environmental’ agencies, artificial hiring practices or emanations from the supreme Court decisions and Title 42 which have been a grief to the common and good people of Tennessee for nearly 50 years.

“I will run all illegals and aliens out of Tennessee under the firm and resolute hand of our Sheriffs by praising and rewarding those who are keeping with our high standards of patriotism.

“I will encourage the Legislature to remove the requirement for lawyers to be judges. I will renounce all judicial tyrannies which have hampered law enforcement and will take the teeth out of the Department of Safety and the Department of Commerce and Insurance which has been the shadow government of our State for too many years.

“I will furnish copies of the Ten Commandments, the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights for every Tennessee County Court House where they are wanted out of what salary might come to this gubernatorial office. I will personally work to eliminate the stronghold that the ACLU, Freedom from Religion and other ne’er-do-well special-interest attorneys  have had over our counties and bring to honor and reward every patriot and school teacher who has been grieved with the heinous decisions and arbitrary power exercised by special-interest, left-wing attorneys. These awful people have raided county coffers and removed prayer and Bible reading and God’s Law with a vengeance and have made the taxpayer pay for their legal pilfering under 42 USC 1988.  They will not be welcome in my presence. I personally will put copies of the aforementioned documents in my office and defend this Right personally to the death, if necessary.

“I will do all in my power to eliminate offices which have been created to ‘create jobs’ under Title 42.

“Furthermore, I will do all I can to see to it that such men as Andrew Jackson, John Sevier, Alvin York and other of our Tennessee heroes are paid their proper respect. I will see that knowledge is disseminated throughout the State of their heroic deeds and courageous legacy. I will honor patriotic organizations who have been faithful to our heritage.

“I will honor those home school parents who have been forced to remove their children from schools which are intimidated by the left-wing attorneys and atheistic and humanistic college professors who promote Darwin, Freud and Marx.

“I will praise the Legislature for all sovereignty amendments or Resolutions which will free us from Washington’s tyrannical controls.

“I will urge the Legislature to pass statutes which forbid the drinking of spirituous liquors or wine at functions where lobbyists are present since this is designed to cause such dinners to be the foundations of loose tongues and loose purses.

“I will place on public display the flag which was hit by the tornado on the day that the Legislature brought the lottery out of Committee, which tornado tore the stars out of the State flag.

“I will honor all veterans at every appropriate occasion and seek all help for them that is possible.

“I believe that with the massive communications available through the internet and personal contact that there is no need for a huge investment in campaigns, nor do I seek donations to my campaign. If it is God’s Will for me to be the Governor of Tennessee, He is also able to “furnish a table in the wilderness” and spread the word as He did in the days of our founders whose high morality and courage brought them to office, not the donations of special-interest groups who care nothing for the people.

“I will open my office each day with earnest prayer to the God of our Fathers and look to Him for wisdom, safety and guidance, as did all our founders, whether civil or military.

“I would declare that no employer shall withhold income tax from an employee’s pay.

“I would do all in my power to allow Tennesseans to opt out of social security and promote the social security rebate plan wherein all would receive their social security funds returned with interest, compounded at IRS rates and make social security voluntary

“I believe the Sheriffs and County Officers  should be the guardians of the highways and will try to find work for what few Highway Patrolmen will be left after I reduce the costly and cumbersome budget to finance this department. I will bring in Sheriffs for consultation of what their needs are regarding what is left of the TBI.  I will work to eliminate the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, after they have apologized personally to those common Tennesseans who were harassed at the Sweetwater Flea Market for continuing a custom which has been theirs since the beginning of our State – that of trading guns and knives.

“And if there be any Resolve that is helpful to free enterprise and liberty, I will do all in my power to bring that along to consummation, so help me, God.”

Letter to the Editor
Herald News
Dayton, TN 37321

Dear Sir:

Long ago, I furnished the Herald with details regarding the web-site
lawsuit against Davidson and Knox Counties, including my successful
intervention. This was never printed. The Chattanooga Times/Free also
chose to ignore it.  The issue was that the ACLU wanted the worst of
performances to be seen by the students on the tax-funded computers. My
intervention as a Taxpayer/Intervenor was granted by the Federal Court
and the Judge agreed with me that the lawyers must pay their own legal
fees.

The ACLU has run away with our Rights for years, tearing up our American
customs, attacking our heritage documents, and making us pay for this
thievery under 42 USC 1988, forcing us to pay their legal fees out of our
public treasures. I showed the Court important details about their
assault on the people of Tennessee and their oppressions, citing, for
example, the fact that 85 of the 95 County Commissions had adopted a
Resolution I personally presented to them – that they have a Right to
post the Ten Commandments.

It is to be expected that the paper saw no value in a freeborn citizen
doing something for God and Country and in light of their education,
would belittle any efforts to stand up against the Goliaths in the legal
system. Naturally, the Knox/Davidson County lawyers wanted to get along
with their peers in the ACLU. This is the nature of lawyers. But the
Citizen prevailed in making the ACLU pay their own legal bills. It was a
win for the taxpayer. More importantly, the Court did not deny my request
for the prison sentence and legal fees which are provided for those who
are guilty of Conspiracy to deny the Rights of the people. It just left
it alone, for now.

That day of sentence will come. As well, the day will come when all the
monies extorted from the taxpayer under 42 USC 1988, whether it is the
million dollars in the Dover, Delaware, Intelligence Design case, the
hundreds of thousands that the people of Alabama were forced to pay for
the ACLU’s robbing them of Ten Commandments Monument, for which they
voted, or whether it is the legal fees Rhea County taxpayers were forced
to pay for taking away their Right to read the Bible and pray in public
schools, only three examples of the chicanery we have had to endure under
Title 42.

How many actions of United States Citizens have been ignored or belittled
by the ACLU’s favorite presses? The fact remains that the work and
prayers of our bedrock Christians, the Word of God and His Promises to
those that trust Him will come to pass. There is an old adage which says:
The Word of God is an anvil which has broken many hammers.  The ACLU
hammer is no exception.
